Today is the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, marking the first of six visitations to three children in Fatima, Portugal. On May 13,1917, Lucia dos Santos, and Francisco and Jacinta Marto were tending their sheep when Mary first appeared to them, asking them to come to that same place on the 13th of every month for the next few months.

  1. Make the Sign of the Cross and say the “Apostles’ Creed”
  2. Recite one “Our Father”
  3. Then recite three “Hail Marys”
  4. Finish with one “Glory Be”
  5. Announce the First Mystery and then say one “Our Father”
  6. Recite ten “Hail Marys” while meditating on the respective Mystery
  7. Then recite one “Glory Be”
  8. Conclude the decade with the Fatima Prayer
  9. Announce the Second Mystery; then say one “Our Father” and repeat steps 6-8 as you continue through the remaining Mysteries.
  10. Say the “Hail Holy Queen”
  11. And conclude with the “Final Prayers”
  12. Make the “Sign of the Cross”
