Is Life Too Chaotic for You? Seek Peace!

Seek PeaceSummertime is usually the time when we kick back and take a vacation. We use this time to recharge our batteries.  Not so, for me, this year! I’ve been working on the remodeling of our master bathroom, due to a leak in our shower pan, since April! We’re getting there, but we’re not done yet. On top of that, I’m heading to Maine, mid-month, for a faculty meeting. Then at the end of the month, I’m off to Lancaster, PA to speak at a writer’s conference. In between, I’m creating a new seven-week presentation on the Uniqueness of Catholicism. Yes, life is too chaotic for me! It’s time for me to seek Peace.

Become a Peacemaker – Practice Peace

peacemaker

Inner Peace – Within Your Grasp

inner peaceInner peace shines forth from the depths of our souls when we embrace the Divine Indwelling of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, residing within us. We only need to look inward to find Christ’s peace, for Jesus is our Peace (Eph. 2:14). When we allow Jesus to work within us, to free us from worry, anxiety, stress and concern, we begin to replace the negativity with Christ’s Peace. We come to understand that God is in control and will provide for us, as well as protect us. We become calmer, in appearance. People look at us and want the same for themselves, because everyone continually searches for peace.

Such peace is deeper than our affections or intellect… [Peace is] “life in friendship with God.” 1 We all want that feeling; that friendship with God. So then, where is God in such troubling times? Why do we feel so alone and forgotten, separated from this friendship with Him?

If you truly want to find Christ’s Peace, look inward, not outward. Peace on this Continue reading
