Fatima, by Jean M. Heimann – Book Review

Fatima Fatima: The Apparition That Changed the World, by Jean M. Heimann, is a wonderful book that chronicles the Fatima apparitions of the Blessed Mother, including beautiful glossy pictures of the town, people and churches of the area. Multiple apparitions occurred at Fatima, Portugal between May 13, 1917 and October 13, 1917, visible to three young Portuguese children from that town.

Most Catholics have heard the story of Fatima, possessing a vague idea of what occurred. In this book, Jean Heimann gives you an in-depth understanding of Mary’s purpose for the apparitions and the implication of her visit to the three chosen children. The story is riveting! I read the entire book in one afternoon!

My takeaway from reading Fatima: The Apparition That Changed the World, is that my own life is changed forever! I owe a debt of thanks to Jean Heimann for opening my eyes to the power of Mary’s message: to pray the Rosary every day. Prayer is so powerful, but it is only after reading Heimann’s telling of the Fatima apparitions, that I realize just how powerful prayer can be, especially the Rosary. Since reading this book, my husband and I have elected to pray the Rosary daily, together. We pray for those souls who have no one to pray for them. Our prayers are in reparation for offenses against God, and for our own souls.

Connecting with Our Lady of Fatima

If you would like for your own life to change, for the better, then I highly recommend reading this book. Then, join my husband and me in this effort to pray the Rosary daily. Our Blessed Mother would be so happy to gather up our prayers and give them to Jesus. Pray for conversion of hearts; a turning away from evil and a turning towards God. By doing so, we will all gain lasting peace – Christ’s Peace.
